Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.
Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… solickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for…

WAIT FOR YOU is available now!

Blog tour: Frost fire (Tortured Elements #1) by Olivia Rivers

Frost Fire  (Tortured Elements, #1)
Publication date: November 20th, 2012
Genre: YA Paranormal Romance
“Magic is just like love, Allai. It won’t wait for permission before it destroys you.”

Like sand in an hourglass, Allai’s future is dwindling away. She’s spent her entire life fighting the Mages who threaten humanity, and dreams of someday eradicating magic. But all it takes is an anonymous phone call for the truth to spill out: Allai is the one thing she despises most.

She’s a Mage.

Though ancient law mandates Allai’s death, she still has one last chance of survival. His name is Drake Rhaize, and he swears he can lead Allai to a sanctuary for Mages. Allai hasn’t seen Drake in years, but she remembers him as the Demon boy who used to hold her close and softly whisper that he’d keep her safe. But Drake has changed since then: He’s now suspected of murder, and has been out-casted for betraying his own kind.

While Allai doesn’t trust Drake, she has no choice but to put her life in his hands and hope he can get her to safety. Because Allai’s father has hired a pack of Demons to bring her back to him, dead or alive–and Demons never stop the hunt.

My review

First I have to start with the cover. It is amazing. I must say that this is one of my favorite covers of all time.
Now, with the book. Frost fire is a good book. It has an interesting story, a hot guy and it has Luke, who is one of my favorite characters ever. Irish demon. Amazing. Allai was a little bit annoying and she was the only thing in the book I didnt really like. Then there is Drake. I always love a good bad boy and he is one of the best. The storyline was ok, a little boring at parts but definetly worth reading in the end.I should say that we get a really big surprise in the end, one that honestly shocked me. That is why, and Drake and Luke, I cant wait for the next book in the series.

Blog tour: Time's twisted arrow (The Chronos files #1) by Rysa Walker + GIVEAWAY

Time's Twisted Arrow by Rysa Walker
Publication date: October 1st 2012
Genre: YA Science Fiction
"Sharp writing, a flair for dialogue and a big, twisting imagination." - Kirkus Reviews.

They weren't panic attacks. Of that, seventeen year old Kate is certain, no matter what the shrink told her parents. But it's even harder to accept the explanation offered by her terminally ill grandmother - that Kate has inherited designer DNA from the time-traveling historians of CHRONOS, who were stranded in the past by a saboteur. Kate knows that her grandmother's story could easily be the brain tumor talking, but that doesn't explain the odd medallion or the two young men - one of them hauntingly familiar -- who simply vanish before her eyes on the subway. It doesn't explain Trey, the handsome stranger who now occupies Kate's assigned seat in trig class. And it definitely doesn't explain why Kate is now in an alternate timeline, where leaders of a previously unknown cult hold great power and are planning a rather drastic form of environmental defense.

In this new reality, Kate's grandmother was murdered at age twenty-two on a research trip to the past, which means that Kate's mother was never born, her father doesn't know her and, for all intents and purposes, she doesn't exist. The only thing keeping her from disappearing entirely is the strange blue medallion around her neck, and the only thing keeping her sane is her burgeoning relationship with Trey. To restore the time line, Kate must travel back to 1893 and keep herself and her grandmother clear of H.H. Holmes, the serial killer who is stalking young women at the Chicago World's Fair. But that choice comes at a price - she'll remember the past few months with Trey, but when he looks at her, he'll see a total stranger.

My review

This book was really enjoyable. I like the idea of time travelling and I especially love how the writer developed it. The storyline was fresh and exciting and the characters very interesting. Kate was a great main character, I looked forward throughout the book what is going to happen to her next and how will it all go down with Trey and Kiernan, who are both great guys so I cant wait to see what happens in the next books. I must say that the concept of time travel in this book was confusing at first but I catched on during reading. The writing was amazing, I love how Walker brought everything to life and I am excited to see what will she do next. Kates story is not over.

RYSA WALKER grew up on a cattle ranch in the South. Her options for entertainment were talking to cows and reading books. (Occasionally, she would mix things up a bit and read books to cows.) On the rare occasion that she gained control of the television, she watched Star Trek and imagined living in the future, on distant planets, or at least in a town big enough to have a stop light.

When not writing, she teaches history and government in North Carolina, where she shares an office with her husband, who heroically pays the mortgage each month, and a golden retriever named Lucy. She still doesn't get control of the TV very often, thanks to two sports-obsessed kids.

Blog tour: Wings of Tavea( Solus #2) by Devri Walls + GIVEAWAY

Wins of Arian (The Solus Trilogy #1) by Devri Walls -- April 24th 2012

Kiora thought she had never heard a lie until she was sixteen. But she was wrong. Her entire existence was based on nothing but. She thought that evil did not exist. Lie. That magic was not real. Lie. And that the land of Meros was all there was. One more lie.

With Aleric telling her that evil is knocking on the door and that she is the only one who can stop them she has a choice to make. Refuse, or start the wildest most painful ride of her life.
She reluctantly dips her toe into her new existence of magic and threads, dragons and shapeshifters, and the person who wants to take control of it all: the evil Dralazar.

However, this journey was never meant to be hers alone. She will be accompanied by a Protector. To her disbelief, and utter irritation they name the hotheaded, stubborn, non -magical, (albeit gorgeous) Prince Emane. They will have to trust each other with their lives, but right now Kiora would settle for a non hostile conversation.

And now it comes down to this, If you had never heard a lie, would you know when you heard one? Is knowing good from evil innate? Kiora finds herself having to decide who lives and who dies on those very questions.

Wings of Tavea (The Solus Trilogy #2) by Devri Walls
Kiora is rapidly learning that evil and lies come in shades of black and white and swirling greys, but nothing could have prepared her for the shock of leaving Meros.

Kiora and her protector Emane step through the pass into a world they never knew existed but were always meant to save, only to find it far worse than they could have ever imagined. Good has been forced into hiding for its own survival, while the rest of the land bows to the Shadow, a force that pushes any remaining thoughts of Dralazar from Kiora’s mind. This land is full of new creatures, each more dangerous than the last. Her visions have taken on a deadly twist, and magic, or what comes of it, was never so real. And then there is Alcander: a Tavean, their guide, and an entirely different kind of trouble.

My review:
This series is continuing to surprise me. The world the writer created is breathtaking and interesting. Every creature is amazing, especially dragons and Shifters. I  love absolutely everything in this series, but the only thing that annoys me a little is Kiora. She is whining almost all the time. Ename is a funny character, brave and loving and I consider him and Alcander the best part of this book, besides the creatures. The storyline is inventive and it keeps you on the edge. I hope that this love triangle resolves itself in the next 2 books because I really hate those things. But, I wouldnt want to be in Kioras shoes because both guys are incredible in their own way, though I am still Team Ename. I really look forward to the rest of this series, there are a lot more things to learn.

Here is the excerpt from the first book "Wings of Arian":

Kiora, Emane and Drustan soared over the valley below. “What are you supposed to be anyway,” Emane demanded, poking at Drustan’s pink fur around him.
“I am a Shapeshifter. I can be anything I want.”
“Are you telling me this is an actual animal?”
“What do you think?”
He snorted, “You are a big, pink, fluffy, flying dog iguana looking… thing. It can’t possibly be real.”
“Not that long ago, you would have said the idea of a creature being able to change its shape was preposterous, would you have not?”
“That’s not the point Drustan. I am asking you if this is an actual creature or not.”
Drustan let out a loud laugh that echoed through the sky, “Of course not Emane! Don't be ridiculous.”
“I knew it! Then why are we soaring through the sky on this pink monstrosity?”
“I was trying to cheer up the lady, if you must know.”
Emane looked at Kiora who was sitting in front of him. She was staring forward, seemingly unaware that they were even speaking.
“It doesn't seem to be working.”
“Perhaps you can do better?”
“Kiora?” She didn't flinch. “Kiora?” Emane nudged her gently.
She jumped, coming back to reality, “Hmm? What? I'm sorry Emane, were you talking to me?” She turned her head to the side, but her eyes didn’t meet his. They remained distant, looking out over the trees.
“Are you ok?”
“Umm, of course. Why wouldn't I be?”
“I don't know, I was wondering the same thing. We did just manage to defeat a pack of Hounds and twelve Fallen Ones. Which, by the way– Drustan, you and I will have words over your little stunt.”
“Whenever you’re ready, my Prince,” Drustan answered with amusement.
Emane rolled his eyes, “Anyway, as I was saying, we managed to survive our first real battle. And you, what you did with that water was… well, it was something I will never forget.
She forced a smile, “That worked better than I expected.”
“Better than you expected!” he exclaimed, grabbing a hold of her shoulders. “You should have seen yourself. I looked over to see you standing there– in-between two enormous walls of water! And then when you sent it crashing forward, it was amazing.” Setting back he amended. “Of course it was more amazing after I realized I wasn't going to die.”
“I wouldn't have been able to do it had you not healed my arm.”
“That reminds me, let me see that arm.” Emane leaned around her side to see where Vitraya had cut her. “I didn't know they could do that.’
“Me either.”
He glanced up at her, her voice was nearly monotone, and forced. Scowling, he looked at her blood soaked arm and sleeve. “You lost a lot of blood.”
“It was deep.”
“Kiora,” he asked again, “what's wrong?”
“Nothing. Drustan where were you?”
Emane’s head snapped up, he knew she was changing the subject but this was an answer he was dying to know. “Yes Drustan, where were you?”
“I was in the meadow, right where you left me, Prince.”
“Drustan,” Emane closed his eyes trying not to yell, “you are the most infuriating creature I have ever met!”
“It is an effort, I assure you, my Prince.”
He took a deep breath, refusing to take the bait, “I thought I told you to turn into a Dragon as soon as I set you down. And instead, we don't see hide nor hair of you till half way through the fight.”
“It was a strategic decision based upon experience.”
“How so?”
“Is the Prince asking my humble opinion?”
“No, the Prince is asking for your humble explanation, Drustan!”
“That’s too bad, listening to the opinion of someone who is experienced with the enemy would be wise.”
Emane took another deep breath. He was right, he knew he was right. But he really hated admitting he was wrong, especially to a flying pink iguana. “I will keep that in mind.”
“Emane…” Kiora chided.
“Just say it.”
“For not being a mind reader,” he grumped “you are disturbingly good at knowing what I am thinking.”
She shrugged her shoulders.

My review:

I loved the first book and the characters that were introduced but in the second book we get to see a little more of the most interesting characters in this series and that is Tyler. I liked Reece, but he was a little to perfect for my tastes. This book is full of heartbreak and mistery and we get some scocking news. The main character, Jenna, annoyed me a little in this book but considering everything she wents through I overlooked that. That is why the characters of this book seem very real to me. They are not perfect, they dont know what will happen next, just like the rest of us but they are trying to figure it out. I just hope that at the end, everyone is still in one piece.
I love Danielle Sibariums style of writing, I love her other book For always and Breaking waves really made me love her writing more and I cant wait to see what happens next.

Danielle Sibarium grew up as an only child of divorced parents in Brooklyn, New York. Her imagination was developed at an early age. Surrounded by stuffed animals and imaginary friends, she transported herself into a fantasy world full of magic and wonder. Books were the gateway between her play world and reality. On any given summer afternoon she became Snow White sweeping and cooking for the dwarfs, or Cinderella waiting for the prince.

Danielle always loved dialogue and in elementary school began writing plays and short stories. This is when she began to understand she could not only bring her fantastical world to life for herself, but she could enchant others as well. And so she wrote. She wrote and wrote and wrote.

Sadly the first piece she ever sent out for publication of any sort was a letter to the editor of The Home News Tribune. It was a piece thanking the first responders for their bravery and selflessness on Sept 11th. It was chosen as letter of the week.

In 2007 Danielle collaborated with Charlotte Doreen Small to write songs for her CD More. Danielle wrote the lyrics for Take My Hand, and Goodbye, while Charlotte contributed the melody.

In October 2011 Danielle’s debut novel For Always was released. She has since released Heart Waves and the second book in the Heart Waves series, Breaking Waves.

Danielle graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University with honors, and currently lives in New Jersey with her husband and three children.
