Celebrating her escape from East Germany and the success of her new film, teen starlet Pagan Jones returns to Hollywood to reclaim her place among the rich and the famous. She's thrilled to be back, but memories of her time in Berlin—and elusively handsome secret agent Devin Black—continue to haunt her daydreams. The whirlwind of parties and celebrities just isn't enough to distract Pagan from the excitement of being a spy or dampen her curiosity about her late mother's mysterious past. When Devin reappears with an opportunity for Pagan to get back into the spy game, she is eager to embrace the role once again—all she has to do is identify a potential Nazi war criminal. Top 5 Wednesday: Characters You Are Most Like

Slika
Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme created by GingerReadsLainey . You can join the Goodreads group here and check out the topics.    This week s topic is characters you are most like and let me tell you, this was not easy. Here goes nothing: I am big, really big so when I read this book I finally thought, here is someone like me. I dont really care what people think when they see me but as Will does in this book, there are moments or people who make me doubt myself. It is never easy to hear mean things said about you behind your back but I try to ignore it and stay comfortable with who I am, just like Will. What I have in common with Charley is the sarcasm and I cannot live without coffee. It is nice to read a book and think to myself, ah that is just like me. Also, Cookie is the character I feel is most like me. She has a best friend who is larger than life, always tries to be there for her, she is funny and trusting and I feel like sometimes, I am too...

Slika
Get Up Offa That Slump: A Blogging Extravaganza is a blogging challenge hosted by Rachel from  Beauty and the Bookshelf . Today s challenge is to review your favorite book. I decided to talk about my favorite series of all time, The Hollows by Kim Harrison because I rarely wrote about it on the blog because I never had much coherent things to say, it would have all been unshamful gushing. There will be gushing here too, but hopefully it will end up more eloquent. The Hollows series (also called the Rachel Morgan series) is a series of thirteen mystery novels, eight short stories, two graphic novels, and one compendium resource by Kim Harrison, published by HarperCollins Publishers, in an urban fantasy alternate history universe and set primarily in the city of Cincinnati and its suburbs. The alternate history is built upon two premises: the recent open existence of magical and supernatural species, primarily witches, vampires, andwerewolves, with the human population; a...

Get Up Offa That Slump: A Blogging Extravaganza is a blogging challenge hosted by Rachel from  Beauty and the Bookshelf . Today s challenge is a book tag and I have never done one before so it should be fun. I decided on Nightwish Book Tag created by  Unicorn Hunter Books  because Nightwish is one of my favorite bands and combining it with books is just amazing.  Here goes: 1. Elvenpath - favorite high fantasy book I dont usually read a lot of high fantasy books, that is something I plan on remeding in the near future but I adored Throne of Glass. 2. Bless the Child - a book that features a loss of innocence I could only think of Sweet evil off the top of my head, Anna s whole world and idea s of good and evil are crushed when she learns the truth of her lineage. 3. Slaying the Dreamer - A book where a character you love dies This book broke my heart, I will never stop mourning Kisten. 4. Oceansoul - A character who yearns fo...

She is smart, relays on herself to make the right choice and fight for herself. Rachel Morgan One of my all time favorite female characters, Rachel is a witch/demon who is smart, sassy and awesome with spells. Her friends are always there to help her and she is always there to help them. Top 5 Wednesday: Worst Love Interests

Slika
Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme created by GingerReadsLainey . You can join the Goodreads group here and check out the topics.    This weeks topic is worst love interests, male or female, and this was really easy for me to decide. Some of them have been on my shit list for awhile.. Leah is one of the most conniving people I have ever read about and she turns everything to posion. My review Nick from The Hollows series by Kim Harrison (my all time favorite series) is a whiny, little bitch. That is all. Adam Kent... same as the above. My review Richard from Anita Blake series turned 360 degrees and from a pretty sweet love interest went into full psycho mode. I have no patience for him. And the worst from them all are the main  couple from the After series, Tessa and Hardin. To quote my review: "There are no amounts of alchocol that could erase this book from my brain... Both of them are plain psychotic."  My ...
