Unpopular opinions book tag

This tag  was originally created by The Book Archer. I have seen people do it through the years and I was intrigued. 

1. A Popular Book or series that you didn't like.

After series. For the life of me, I never understood what was so great about this series. The main characters are a pair of psychos.



 And also, Red Queen, which was full of tropes, was boring at best and featured really unlikable characters. And Mockingjay, really shitty series ending book.


 2. A Popular Book or series that every one else seems to hate but you love.

I have to say it, Twilight. I know it has a bunch of really big problems and that the writing is mediocre at best (it  isn't great, actually) and I blame Stephenie Meyer for the shitfest that is Fifty shades of Grey (which I kind of liked when I first read it, ah, young and stupid, live and learn). But.. I remember the feeling I had while I was reading it, I remember anxiously awaiting the next book with my friends and then the movies. It is really nostalgic for me.

 3. A Love Triangle where the main character ended up with the person you did NOT want them to end up with (warn ppl for spoilers) OR an OTP that you don't like.

SPOILERS FOR HUNGER GAMES!

Hunger Games. Peeta is trash. Gale is also not that great.

 4. A popular book Genre that you hardly reach for.

Crime, historical fiction and historical romance. Nothing against the genres, they are just not for me. Actually, I love those genres of movies or shows.

5. A popular or beloved character that you do not like.

Peeta. And Sookie Stackhouse (from the books, not the show).

6. A popular author that you can't seem to get into.

J.K Rowling. I read the first three HP books as they were coming out and I never understood the hype. I tried again a few years ago and I couldn't even make it  'til the end of the first one.

 7. A popular book trope that you're tired of seeing. (examples "lost princess", corrupt ruler, love triangles, etc.)

Love triangles, insta love, damsel in distress, the chosen one...

8. A popular series that you have no interest in reading.

Lord of the rings (tried, didn't get past page 50), Game of Thrones (see LOTR), Harry Potter ( and everything by J.K. Rowling), Percy Jackson...

 9. The saying goes "The book is always better than the movie", but what movie or T.V. show adaptation do you prefer more than the book?

First and foremost, True Blood. The books were ok but the show was perfection. Also, I love Harry Potter movies, and LOTR, and the other than the first one, Hunger games movies were better than the books.

There you have it, hopefully no one yells at me for them, these are just my opinions.
