The Voice by Jennifer Anne Davi - YA Contemporary novel - Publication date: January 29th, 2013 During her abduction and assault, Audrey begins to hear a voice. She hopes she’s not going crazy, because after what she’s experienced, that’s the most logical explanation. However, as she begins to listen to the voice, Audrey realizes that someone may be telepathically trying to help her. Unfortunately, rescue isn’t all she needs. In order to leave behind the constant reminders, she flees to her Aunt Kate’s house in San Diego, and assumes a new identity. It works—until the eighteen-year-old twin boys who live next door threaten to break through the protective walls she’s worked so hard to build. Between Caleb going out of his way to befriend her and Justin avoiding her at all costs, Audrey doesn’t know if normalcy will ever find her again. But one thing is certain: When a familiar danger resurfaces, it’s the same voice that she turns to—a voice that is not only real, but a lot cl...

Together they discover their compromise is about more than just art, it’s facing the past so they can move on with the future. My  review: This book was a pleasant read. A nice little romance story with two very confusing and frustrating characters who fall for each other. Sometimes the storyline was confusing and a litlle predictable but it was still an enjoyable read, a book to let all your troubles away and to relax. The romance was steamy and interesting, the writing okay, and all in all it was a good debut. The giveaway: a Rafflecopter giveaway             ...

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. This is my choice for this week: Deadly Sting (Elemental Assassin #8) byJennifer Estep Expected publication: March 26th 2013 by Pocket Books Red is definitely my color. Good thing, because in my line of work, I end up wearing it a lot. Most people shy away from blood, but for an assassin like me — Gin Blanco, aka the Spider — it’s just part of the job. Still, it would be nice to get a night off, especially when I’m attending the biggest gala event of the summer at Briartop, Ashland’s fanciest art museum. But it’s just not meant to be. For this exhibition of my late nemesis’ priceless possessions is not only the place to be seen, but the place to be robbed and taken hostage at gunpoint as well. No sooner did I get my champagne than a bunch of the unluckiest thieves ever burst into the museum and started looting the place. Unl...

Elixir (Covenant #3.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Slika
Summary : Aiden St. Delphi will do anything to save Alex. Even if it means doing the one thing he will never forgive himself for. Even if it means making war against the gods. My review: This was a very good read. I loved getting insight into Aidens head and we finally se how he thinks. I never doubted how he fest about Alex but to really see his thoughts and everything he is prepared to sacrifice for her is really heartwarming but also heartbreaking. Some of his actions may end up hurting Alex emotionally but Aiden did it for her own good, he was prepared for Alex's anger. I honestly cant wait for my ARC of Apollyion to come because I am anxious to see how the story unfolds. And even after everything Seth has done, I truly hope he redeems himself.         Although I was a huge fan of JLA Ever Since I read Obsidian, this series was a little behind for me, but after Deity and Elixir I was amazed yet again by JLA's writing.

Chasing Magic (Downside Ghosts #5)

Slika
Summary: A DEADLY HIGH Magic-wielding Churchwitch and secret addict Chess Putnam knows better than anyone just how high a price people are willing to pay for a chemical rush. But when someone with money to burn and a penchant for black magic starts tampering with Downside’s drug supply, Chess realizes that the unlucky customers are paying with their souls—and taking the innocent with them, as the magic-infused speed compels them to kill in the most gruesome ways possible. As if the streets weren’t scary enough, the looming war between the two men in her life explodes, taking even more casualties and putting Chess squarely in the middle. Downside could become a literal ghost town if Chess doesn’t find a way to stop both the war and the dark wave of death-magic, and the only way to do that is to use both her addiction and her power to enter the spell and chase the magic all the way back to its malevolent source. Too bad that doing so will probably kill Chess—if the war doesn...
