Heart to Heart Mondays (2) : Books I think everyone should read

This Monday I decided to share with you books that I think everyone should read. There are various reasons I think you should read these books. Some of them will stay with me for the rest of my life, some brought joy to my life when I needed it most, others broke my herat and then repaired it and there were those that took me through a rollacoaster of emotions. These truly were unforgetable reads to me and I hope most of you read them and if not...l What are you waiting for?!

Also, some of the authors I am about to mention are my favorites. Their writing is beautiful and inspiring, their characters helped me and I want them all to be real so we could be friends. The worlds and stories portrayed in these books are fascinating, I just couldnt stop reading and the ending was bittersweet. I will also post the book series that are irreplacable to me, some have ended, some not and some are about to and I really hope you give them a chance.

Books I think everyone should read

The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher

This is the book that made my cry, smile, it brought all these feels on the surface and it was unexpected and surprising and all those things that the truly great books have.
It is real, it is full of lies and betrayal yet love pours out of every page.

On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta

This is the book that made me fall in love with Ms. Marchetta s writing and storytelling. It was unpredictable, sudden, creative, simple and beautiful.. but most of all. captivating.

How to kill a Rockstar by Tiffanie DeBartolo

Talk about a true rockstar story, a real romance, none of those bad boy - good girl nonsense. It is raw and poignant and the writing and character developement is impressive..

Sing me to sleep by Angela Morrison

This book made me sob for days and it still does every time I think of it. This story shows us how it is possible to find strenght and courage in the middle of heartbreak, that love always waits around the corner and that life happens and some things cant be evaded.

The Summer I turned pretty by Jenny Han

A story about growing up, first loves and friendship. It was not a simple summer read I first thought it would be, it is so much more. A story that trascends all ages and beautifully written.

Some books from a series that I think everyone should read ...

And a few honorable mentions...

What do you think about my list? Did you read any of these?

What are the books you think everyone should read.

Leave me a comment and cheers...

  1. YES YES YES YES to all of these! I totally agree about Jellicoe and really it should be like a bible to YA readers :) It's magical. Also Sing me to Sleep! That was a wonderful read. I wish I have read all others you mentioned below but I totally agree on Throne of Glass! I'd just add The Storyteller to the list ;) Great post, Lea :)

  3. I suck at commenting. :(

I love your list. I think mine would be so similar. Some of those are on my top ten books ever-How to Kill a Rock Star, The Sea of Tranquility, The Opportunist, Jellicoe Road...

I want to read Kim Harrison's series but I only read UF during the summer and I haven't read any UF this year. :( Aside from Kim Harrison's books the only other unread book is Vinyl Princess and I'll check that one out as well.
