Waiting on Wednesday (67)
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. This is my choice for this week:
Stone Cold Touch (The Dark Elements #2)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Expected publication: October 28th 2014 by Harlequin Teen
Every touch has its price
Layla Shaw is trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life—no easy task for a seventeen-year-old who’s pretty sure things can’t get worse. Her impossibly gorgeous best friend, Zayne, is forever off-limits thanks to the mysterious powers of her soul-stealing kiss. The Warden clan that has always protected her is suddenly keeping dangerous secrets. And she can barely think about Roth, the wickedly hot demon prince who understood her in ways no one else could.
But sometimes rock bottom is only the beginning. Because suddenly Layla’s powers begin to evolve, and she’s offered a tantalizing taste of what has always been forbidden. Then, when she least expects it, Roth returns, bringing news that could change her world forever. She’s finally getting what she always wanted, but with hell literally breaking loose and the body count adding up, the price may be higher than Layla is willing to pay…
I really liked the first book and I love how JLA writes her romances but I am fraid of who Layla will end up with, since it will be determined by the fans. I am not sure I like that idea but it wont stop me from reading.
Definitely on my list too! Eeeeep!
OdgovoriIzbrišiHere's my WoW pick this week!
Amanda @ Fandomly Bookish :)
I still haven't read the first one in this series but it sounds quite interesting :) I truly hope you'll get to read this one soon and that you'll enjoy it. Great pick, Lea :)
OdgovoriIzbrišiI read sooo many JLA books last year that I think I'd need a little break from them, even though I liked all of them. I still need to read the first one here, but I'd definitely get to them sometime!
OdgovoriIzbrišiI have yet to read the first one, I'm not sure when I will. Arnentrout's books are usually hit or miss with me, and I don't know where this one would fall, but knowing that you liked it certainly helps.
