Waiting on Wednesday (90)

Slika
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, originally created by  Breaking the Spine , that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. This is my choice for this week: Nice Werewolves Don't Bite Vampires (Half-Moon Hollow Book 8) by Molly Harper The “enchanting” (Publishers Weekly) Jane Jameson series is back with a new paranormal romantic comedy about werewolf yearning to find her own place world, and the group of admittedly unique vampires who help her find love. Tylene McClaine, black sheep of the McClaine Half-Moon Hollow werewolf pack, has spent a lifetime blocking out the criticisms of her boisterous pack. They say she’s too bookish, too sarcastic, and worst of all, too picky when it comes to finding a nice werewolf boy and settling down. But when she meets vampire and Half-Moon Hollow music teacher, Alex Bonfils, Tylene starts to wonder if she could create the life she’s always wanted. She takes every precaution to meet her sexy vamp in

Heart to Heart Mondays (10) : Books you should stay away from

Slika
Hello! Today I will be talking about books you should stay away from, in my opinion. There are a couple reasons  I give a book one star . Sometimes it is the writing, sometimes it is the plot, sometimes its the characters and sometimes it depends on the mood I am in while reading it. And sometimes all four.      BEWARE! Spoilers ahead!     First, what I think of as the worst series of all time: After series by Anna Todd -  My Review of book 3   This series angered me so much. The two main characters are toxic morons, the writing is subpar, there is no plot. I read the whole series just to see if they hopefully end up dead but no such luck. Beautiful disaster by Jamie McGuire To be honest, I liked it when I first read it. What can I say, I was 21, to me, Travis was wowza. Today, I know better. He was manipulative, creepy and had major anger issues, Abby is, I have no words for her, she seems to think Earth revolves around her. America is a shitt

Unpopular opinions book tag

Slika
This tag  was originally created by The Book Archer . I have seen people do it through the years and I was intrigued.  1. A Popular Book or series that you didn't like. After series. For the life of me, I never understood what was so great about this series. The main characters are a pair of psychos.  And also, Red Queen, which was full of tropes, was boring at best and featured really unlikable characters. And Mockingjay, really shitty series ending book.   2. A Popular Book or series that every one else seems to hate but you love. I have to say it, Twilight. I know it has a bunch of really big problems and that the writing is mediocre at best (it    isn ' t great, actually) and I blame Stephenie Meyer for the shitfest that is Fifty shades of Grey (which I kind of liked when I first read it, ah, young and stupid, live and learn). But.. I remember the feeling I had while I was reading it, I remember anxiously awaiting the next book with my friends and t

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, originally created by  Breaking the Spine , that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. This is my choice for this week: Archangel's Sun  (Guild Hunter #13)  by Nalini Singh A horrifying secret rises in the aftermath of an archangelic war in New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh’s deadly and beautiful Guild Hunter world... The Archangel of Death and the Archangel of Disease may be gone but their legacy of evil lives on—especially in Africa, where the shambling, rotting creatures called the reborn have gained a glimmer of vicious intelligence. It is up to Titus, archangel of this vast continent, to stop the reborn from spreading across the world. Titus can’t do it alone, but of the surviving powerful angels and archangels, large numbers are wounded, while the rest are fighting a surge of murderous vampires. There is no one left…but the Hummingbird. Old, powerful, her mind long a broken kaleid

Heart to Heart Mondays (9) :Summer TBR + the Books I have already read this summer

Slika
HI! Mondays, ugh. For my first Heart to Heart Monday back I decided to show you my reading plans for the summer, some books I have already read, some I plan on reading. My goal is to try to reduce my physical TBR, at least a bit, since I ran out of shelf space years ago and I plan to unhaul the books that I didnt really like. I already got rid of a lot of books that were just collecting dust and I knew I wasnt going to read them anytime soon or I lost interest in the genre (looking at you YA dystopia) or books that were good in the moment but forgettable in the end.  Currently I am reading Becoming by Michelle Obama and I am really enjoying it:  I have already read these books from my summer TBR:   I really enjoyed these for books, they were all either 4 or 5 stars for me. The rest of the books I plan on reading this summer (in order I plan on reading them): We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal American Demon by Kim Harrison (I cant

I AM BACK!

Slika
HELLO! It has been a long time, 3 and a half years to be exact and I have missed this space. I loved reviewing books, making lists of favorites each year, even discussing stuff outside of the book world like movies and tv shows and music. I decided that all of that will be back, topics like Heart to heart Mondays, Top 5 Wednesday, playlists, Thursday tracks and, of course , reviews. I am reading a bit slower than I used to , most of my day is spent at work so I have a bit less time for reading but I still try to read at least 10 books a month, sometimes succesfully, sometimes not. There will be no more excessive book blasts and reveals and blog tours, I will be doing only books I am really, really excited about. And, while I will try posting at least 1-2 times a week, I cant promise that will always be the case, but hopefully it will be more often than not. And I will also try to post or translate posts into croatian. Hopefully, you stay with me as I try to figure out what bl
