Deadshifted (Edie Spence #4) by Cassie Alexander
Summary
Edie Spence just wanted a vacation. A nice, relaxing, stress free, non-adventure away from the craziness that's dominated her life since becoming a nurse for paranormal creatures. But from the start, her trip on the Maraschino, a cruise ship bound for Hawaii, has been anything but stress free, especially when Edie's boyfriend Asher recognizes someone he used to know. Someone from his not-so-nice past. With their lives in the balance, will Edie and Asher be able to save their growing family or will this adventure be their end?

My review
I adore this series. It is so unique and scary and full of fascinating things. I was so happy when I won an ARC and I started reading it immediately. I was happy how things ended at the end of the 3rd book, well maybe not how they ended for Ty, but I think Asher is the perfect choice for Edie, even though he can be an idiot sometimes, it is clear that he loves her. Deadshifted ends on a cliffhanger, a pretty brutal one and Bloodshifted cant come soon enough. Deadshifted is very much different from the first 3 books in the series. This one is centered on Edie and Asher, their relationship and Ashers past while battling a monstrous sickness that takes almost every life. There was plenty of action, mistery, interesting new characters, arrival of old ones, and a few surprises. I adore Urban fantasy and I think this series is one of the best ones out there. I was very scared and pissed when Deadshifted ended so Bloodshifted better have some answers.
