Onyx (Lux #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Summary:
Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…
Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarre connection. I’ve sworn him off even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But against all common sense, I’m falling for him. Hard.
Our relationship issues aren’t out biggest problem…
The Department of Defense is here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And when a new boy shows up a school with a secret of his own, things get complicated fast. I need to choose between my own instincts and Daemon’s.
But then everything changes…
I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. Daemon’s never going to stop searching until gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies.
My review:
The second book in the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout was even better than Obsidian which I thought would be impossible. But she did it. She managed to surprise me yet again, in a good way which she somehow manages to do with every book. Katy and Daemon are still amazing, I love how they interact and how their love was building up, it wasnt like in the majority of other books where love is immediate, with no build-up - just boom - and the´re in love. Katy´s and Dameon´s love builds up through series of conversasions, fights, pen poking and jelousies. And make-out sessions, lets not forget about those *wink*. Those two are one of my favorite couples and characters and I really love them. In Onyx we will meet some new characters, see some unexpected faces and developements and it is still an action packed, fantastic read. In moments it is sad, frustrating, funny, surprising, hot and is hard on the nerves. Pack that all in this book by this amazing author and you get one of the best novels of the year. It deserves 5 stars and more. Read this series and I promise you, you wont regret it.
