As the shocking truth about each of their families emerges, it’s clear the two lovers are not so different from each other. Tessa is no longer the sweet, simple, good girl she was when she met Hardin—any more than he is the cruel, moody boy she fell so hard for. Tessa understands all the troubling emotions brewing beneath Hardin’s exterior, and she knows she’s the only one who can calm him when he erupts. He needs her.
But the more layers of his past come to light, the darker he grows, and the harder he pushes Tessa—and everyone else in his life—away. Tessa’s not sure if she really can save him—not without sacrificing herself. She refuses to go down without a fight. But who is she fighting for—Hardin or herself?
I dont really know why I bothered to read the whole series, I should have stopped after the overy bad first book but I just wanted to know if the most messed up couple of all time got a HEA.
The relationship between Tessa and Hardin is the most toxic form of love I have ever had the displeasure to read about. From bets about Tessa s virginity and showing the bloody sheets to his friends to random bursts of violence, sensless profanity, lying and almost cheating, with control and posessiveness as his middle name, Hardin is the worst book boyfriend ever. Unfortunately, there are no amounts of alchocol that could erase this book from my brain.
On another note, Tessa is just plain stupid. How she stays with him is beyond me. Both of them are plain psychotic.
There are no saving graces with this series, well, writing isnt all that bad so you could count that but after everything I read, I just cant. My opinion is that the only good thing about this series is that it is over. YAY!
