My Review:
One thing you need to know about Jennifer Estep and this series is that it only gets better with every new book. I never expected that with each new installment of Elemental Assassin I would continue to get surprised, petrified and so angry, but Black Widow is, for a 12th book in the series, still fresh and full of action, great banter and fight scenes and this time, the villain is more cunning than ever.
After Mab Monroe, I didnt think Gin would have to face a someone worse, but I was wronf. M.M. Monroe is depraved, wicked smart and unpredictable and she almost got the drop on Gin but as we know our favorite assassin, she never goes down without a fight. I loved seeing Gin and Owen together again, they are amazing together, after everything they have been together, their trust and faith in each other is astounding. My favorite, Finn, is still prissy and funny and this series wouldnt be this good without him. Of course, I always love reading about Sophia, Xavier, Bria and Philip. The writing the storytelling and the world building are still amazing, I love the setting of this series, I especially love Pork Pit.
I am curious how will things fall into place after the events of this book so I am eagerly awaiting the next book. I know Gin wont let me down nor Ms. Estep.
