And the ...I completely agree with you about Warner! And the villains, they need to be done just right. Not cartoonishly evil, not over the top, but likeable to a point, and evil to the bone. The best villain I've read in recent months is the Harbinger in Ann Aguirre's second Immortal Game book, Public Enemies. Mab Monroe from Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin series is one of my favourites, and I'm really liking Death from Kresley Cole's The Arcana Chronicles too.
